He is now stationed at Tucson, AZ, and a viewer says her husband, Deron Hovis, is Active in the Army National Guard in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She says she is so very proud of the both.

Eddie Shankle
Camille Peters sent us this picture of her dad, Eddie Shankle Sr. of Bertrand, Missouri. She says he proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Shankle's wife, Glenda, says he was drafted in 1969 at the age of 19 and was sent to Viet Nam in March 1970 where he served with the 1st Air Cav and the 9th Infantry. She says he served his country well and we are very proud of him.

Mandy Smith says this is her husband, her soldier, Logan Daniel Smith from Jonesboro, Ill. She says they’re stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y. He's been on one 12-month deployment to Afghanistan, and is preparing for another, coming this spring. He has 3 daughters: Audrey (6), Mallory (2) and Samantha (2 months).

Leonard Howard Taylor
Here is a picture of my father Leonard Howard Taylor from Wappapello, Mo. receiving his medal from the commander of the Air National Guard of Poplar Bluff, Mo. He served 25 years in the Navy and started as a gunners mate shooting at zeros at the Battle of Midway. Going on after the war, he was a pistol shooter for the Navy and received a gold medal. He currently lives behind me, George Taylor his son, also a Veteran of Desert Storm. My oldest brother Larry Howard Taylor was in Vietnam and finally my third brother Leonard Wayne Taylor SR was a 5th Group Sniper Instructor at Ft Campbell, Ky. for 27. We all served our country. Thanks to all the Brothers and Sisters in arms.
