Cat stuck in tree in Dexter for more than a week

Cat stuck in tree in Dexter for more than a week

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - Dexter's Animal Control Officer tried a harrowing rescue attempt for a little guy who is far away from home.

A black and white cat has been stuck some 65 feet in a tree in Dexter for more than a week.

The very tall tree is in the 800 block of North Hickory.

Dexter's Animal Control Officer tried to coax the cat down.  Then, he used a hose off a fire department brush truck to try and convince him to climb down.

The water actually sent the cat up even higher in the tree.

Let's hope he's got all nine lives because at last report, he was still stuck in the tree.
