Rte. 153 to be reduced for edge cut repairs

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation said Route 153 will be reduced to one lane while crews perform edge rut repairs.

This section of road is located between Route 114 and Route 62.

Weather permitting, crews will be working Thursday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while in the area.

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation says Route 25 will be reduced to one lane while crews perform edge cut repairs.

This section of road is located between Business Route 60 and Bloomfield City limits.

Weather permitting, crews will be working Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while in the area.

This section of road is located between Route F and Route WW.

Weather permitting, crews will be working Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

 MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while in the area.

MoDOT reminds drivers to watch for motorcycles

(KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation encourages motorcyclists and motorists to safely “share the road” this May in observation of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.

All motorists are reminded to watch for motorcycles and to be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe, while motorcyclists are reminded to make themselves visible to other motorists. According to MoDOT, there were 276 motorcyclists killed from 2010-2012.

“We’re seeing more and more motorcycles on the highways,” said Leanna Depue, chair of the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety’s executive committee. “Drivers of all vehicles need to be extra attentive. A motorcycle is one of the smallest vehicles on our roads, often hidden in a vehicle’s blind spot. Everyone needs to watch for motorcycles.”

This section of road is located between Drake Street and Dolphin Street.
