Roseate Spoonbill visits Duck Creek Conservation Area

Roseate Spoonbill visits Duck Creek Conservation Area

PUXICO, MO (KFVS) - A viewer took these pictures of what he calls a Roseate Spoonbill on Sunday, April 10.

Chris Barrigar said he saw the spoonbill Sunday morning at the Duck Creek Conservation Area and then again later that night.

He said the bird is probably an offshoot because the species migrates to the North American Gulf Coast region and the strong winds most likely carried this one past its original destination.
