CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Senior third baseman for the Southeast Missouri University's Redhawks, Trenton Moses, received another preseason award on Monday, Feb. 13.
Moses was named Second Team Preseason All-American by CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
A native of Advance, Mo., Moses was named Third Team Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American in December. He was also named Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Player of the Year last week.
According to the university, Moses hit .395 in 2011 with 11 home runs and 53 RBI's on his way to being named OVC Player of the Year. Moses was also named Third Team All-Louisville Slugger All-American. He added 70 hits, 44 runs, 14 doubles and slugged .672 with an on-base percentage of .502 in 54 games during last season's campaign. Moses ranked second in the OVC in average, on-base percentage (14th nationally) and slugging percentage.
