Quarterly deadline to add numbers to Missouri's "Do Not Call List" | News
(KFVS)- You have until Wednesday to get your cell number on Missouri's Do Not Call List.
That allows the state enough time to add your number to the list it sends to telemarketers.
Registering by Aug. 1 means telemarketers cannot call you after Oct. 1.
There are four registration dates throughout the year. The Attorney General's Office will submit names to telemarketers every three months.
Missouri opened its Do Not Call List to cell phones on June 14 and within three days, 61,000 people had signed up.
There are currently more than 1.8 million Missouri phone lines registered on the No Call list.
The law prohibits telemarketers from calling households that have been added to the list, with some exceptions that have been written into the law.
The law does not allow business phone numbers to be included on the No Call list.
Visit the Missouri AG's website for more information or call 866-No Call 1 (866-662-2551) to be added to the list.
