(KFVS) - Volunteers for Laundry Baskets Full of Love will fill more than 200 laundry baskets with nearly 7,500 household cleaning and personal hygiene items on Saturday, December 7.
They will be filling the baskets for senior and disabled adults in Sikeston, Dexter, East Prairie/Anniston and Portageville.
According to founder Marilyn Hull, the event will mark a big milestone for the Sikeston-based charity.
“Project Christmas Basket 2012 was such a success that we immediately started looking forward to doing it again in 2013 and we’re really excited that we will deliver our 1000th basket that day,” she said.
Laundry Baskets Full of Love is excited to partner again with UPS for the event. At 8 a.m., an army of volunteers will meet at the UPS Center at 117 Larcel Dr. in Sikeston to fill the baskets as they travel down the company’s conveyor line and load them into the familiar brown trucks for delivery the locations in each city.
