Dexter facility donates over 14,000 pounds of food to food pantry | Community Spirit

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - Faurecia Dexter's facility recently donated over 14,000 pounds of food to the Stoddard County Gospel Food Pantry.

The facility collected a total of 14,322 pounds of non-perishable food goods. The collection was part of Faurecia’s annual Faurecia Unites Employees for Local Service challenge.

More than 50 million Americans couldn’t afford to buy food at some point in 2011, according to federal data.

Faurecia employees across North America participated in the challenges, collecting nearly 660,000 pounds of food, 392 percent of its initial goal. Over the past three years, they have helped to provide more than 1.3 million meals to families in need through this program.
