Rte. 60 reduced for bridge replacement

Rte. 60 reduced for bridge replacement

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation says construction is underway to replace two bridges on eastbound Route 60.

According to MoDOT, work to replace a third bridge located near the Stoddard/New Madrid County line on westbound Route 60 will start Monday, August 22, weather permitting.

As work is underway, MoDOT says traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Route 51 to Route 61 as necessary. A 16-foot width restriction will also be in place. The project is expected to be finished in mid-October.

Improvements to the bridges will be completed through the Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Immunization requirements for back to school

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - With more schools opening their doors for the fall, you child may need to be immunized.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has provided the 2011-2012 Missouri Immunization Requirements. The document includes things like doses required by grade and type of vaccinations required.

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - The Sons of the American Legion and the Dexter Parks and Recreation Board will have meetings on Thursday, August 11.

The Sons of the American Legion meeting will be at 6 p.m. at 620 West Oak.

The Dexter Park and Recreation Department Board meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Municipal Building on Vine Street.

KFVS12 Summer Blood Drive event

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - The KFVS12 Summer Blood Drive event will be Friday, August 12 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

KFVS12 will be partnering with Subway and the American Red Cross to sponsor the 5th Annual Summer Blood Drive at 14 different locations in the heartland. This year donors are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment to reduce wait times.
